📢 Secondo Meeting del Progetto LIFE SEED NeB a Dunaújváros, Ungheria! 🌱🏙️
Il 4 febbraio si è svolto a Dunaújváros (HUN) il secondo meeting del progetto LIFE SEED NeB – Beautifying Cities with Nature. Questa iniziativa mira a implementare soluzioni basate sulla natura (NBS) a favore della biodiversità in tre quartieri pilota in Spagna, Italia e Ungheria, seguendo i principi del New European Bauhaus.
🏡 Dunaújváros e il Distretto Technikum
Dunaújváros è una città dell’Ungheria centrale, situata a 67 km da Budapest, sulla riva destra del Danubio. Tradizionalmente un centro industriale, oggi mantiene la sua importanza economica. L’area selezionata per il progetto, il Distretto Technikum, è un sottocentro urbano situato accanto al centro città.
🌳 Perché il Distretto Technikum?
✔ Progettazione urbana compatta: Un’area ben pianificata con abitazioni, luoghi di lavoro, servizi e scuole.
✔ Ampi spazi verdi: Parchi, boschetti e viali alberati che necessitano di riqualificazione.
✔ Potenziale di trasformazione: Molti spazi pubblici oggi sono sottoutilizzati o adibiti a parcheggio anziché diventare luoghi di aggregazione per la comunità.
Durante il meeting, i partner del progetto hanno discusso strategie per riconnettere le persone con la natura urbana, migliorare gli spazi verdi e creare aree pubbliche più sostenibili e inclusive. 🌿
📢 2nd Meeting of the LIFE SEED NeB Project in Dunaújváros, Hungary! 🌱🏙️
On February 4th, the second meeting of the LIFE SEED NeB – Beautifying Cities with Nature project took place in Dunaújváros (HUN). This initiative aims to implement biodiversity-friendly Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in three pilot neighborhoods in Spain, Italy, and Hungary, following the principles of the New European Bauhaus.
🏡 About Dunaújváros and the Technikum District
Dunaújváros is a city in central Hungary, located 67 km from Budapest, on the right bank of the Danube River. Historically an industrial hub, the city retains its economic significance today. The selected project area, the Technikum District, is a key urban sub-centre next to the city centre.
🌳 Why the Technikum District?
✔ Compact urban design: A well-planned area with housing, workplaces, services, and education facilities.
✔ Significant green spaces: Parks, groves, and tree-lined streets that need revitalization.
✔ Potential for transformation: Today, many public spaces are underused or serve as parking lots rather than vibrant community spaces.
During the meeting, project partners discussed strategies to reconnect people with urban nature, enhance green spaces, and create more sustainable and inclusive public areas. 🌿
